We’re looking for a Junior Sales Associate to join the Commercial Department within our expanding and fast-paced biotech business based in Nottingham.

The role will appeal to you if you’re outgoing, customer-focused, motivated and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You’ll be supporting our dynamic global sales and business development team in the delivery of business objectives and assisting the team in managing customer relationships. You must be willing to travel (when that becomes possible again) as we’d like you help prepare for and attend biotech conferences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify new prospects using a defined prospect brief and pass on relevant leads/enquiries to the Business Development Directors
• Manage customer relationships with agreed clients, be able to build good rapport, respond on basic technical questions, prepare quotations and be timely in follow up
• Assist with market analysis with the aim of qualifying new customer segments
• Attend conferences and assist in both the preparation and follow up tasks to help generate new leads
• Take ownership of small ad hoc projects when required

QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFILE

• Recent graduate with BSc/MSc in Life Sciences
• Dual science/business background with some relevant life science work experience desirable
• IT literate with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and capability to learn other technology platforms and internal systems
• Self-motivated and resourceful, with good influencing skills and able to work without supervision
